Happy weekend! :)
OH MY GOSH.
I have become obsessed and I need to know some new flavors to try.
Hit me babes.
Hannah has requested this fine man, Drew Roy.
Honestly I have never heard of him until now.
And I thank you Hannah. You da best, girrrl.
Oh wait, what? I just posted on my college blog? No wayyyy.
Now that I am in college I have come to realize that there are a LOT of foods out there that are realllly bad for you but are reallly tempting as well.
I can now understand why people gain weight the first year of college.
BUT. Since I am not wanting to gain those extra pounds I have decided to eat healthy and to make my health and wellness a priority.
Here are a few of the things that I have begun doing to better the quality of my life, so I can be a better, more happier, me.
FIRST. I try to eat as much fruit as possible. I can get a smoothie at Jamba Juice for breakfast to get my fruit fix and I can have a bunch of fruits to snack on throughout the day.
I also am trying to eat more veggies, whenever I go out to eat I alway request for "extra veggies". Let's take Quizno's for example, while they are making my sandwich I make sure to tell them to put extra lettuce on my sub. Little things like that to add more green into my life.
I have been also trying to get enough sleep. I try to go to bed by 11 on week nights so I can be fully awake throughout the day to keep my life in line. It is crazy how much better you feel when you are fully rested.
VITAMINS or PROBIOTICS. Oh my gosh, while living in dorms I have decided to start making this my priority. They provide me with the nutrients that I can't get. I have heard really good things about Bio-K+ supplements, so I might end up trying those out. They'll hopefully help me to be more healthy and not get sick (or as sick) my freshman year of college.
I also try to exercise at least 20 minutes a day. If I have time, I will go longer, but 20 minutes minimum. It keeps you not only in shape, but it relieves so much stress.
That brings me to another point. I have so much pressure to do good in school and with so many changes happening in my life, I have really been stressed out. I have found that just taking time at night to watch my favorite show relieves me of that stress. Find something that can relieve stress for you so you can be happy. :)
ALSO DRINK WATER.
So that is what I am trying to do. Do you have any tips to secure your health and wellness?
SO CUTE.
A necessity for fall.
Don't have one? You better get your butt to Goodwill right about now. ;)
Nomin'.
As I am sitting here typing this blog post, it is a beautiful sunny, windy fall day.
And I love it.
Something about fall that I absolutely look forward to, well other than the bonfires, smores and Halloween, is the clothing.
The thing about fall is that you actually get to layer without dying from a heat stroke. Yes!
Here are some of the necessities every fashionista needs for fall.
A good pair of light wash skinnies. I feel like when it is fall and you are around all of the colorful tree's a good pair of light, distressed jeans will do you good. You can roll them up for a more laid back feel, or you could just wear them straight with some cute boots. So versatile and necessary for fall.
Another thing is a good oversized cardigan. Fall is all about layering and oversized, and being comfortable.
A good pair of boots. While you are trekking through those fallen leaves.
And of course you are going to need a cute, light jacket for those chilly nights.
What are your fall necessities?
