As I have been walking around campus and shopping online I have seemed to notice a little trend forming.
Throwback to the 90's.
Have you guys been noticing it too?
The choker necklaces.
The overalls.
High-wasted shorts.
The half-up high pony's.
Those weird high neck cami's.
Destroyed denim.
Platform shoes.
Brown lipstick.
Furbies (I wish).
This fad had taken campuses, sorority girls, and the Kardashians by storm.
And honestly I have fallen victim to the super cute half-up pony's (I know, I know, so basic) but I'm honestly not sure about the other trends from the 90's.
What do you think of the throwback fad?
I don't have to tell you guys that its cold outside.
I've been dreading the walks to and from class, and being frozen.
But with this cold weather comes the chance to wear some super cute clothes so I guess I shouldn't complain that much.
Check out some of these super duper cute sweaters.
It'll make you feel a little better about it being FREEZING outside.
Oh, hi there.
So, as you guys know I am now in college.
Whoopity-whoop.
And one of the things I realized is that pretty much there are 5 main categories of style that are here at BSU.
Let me explain further.
The first category.
Those who longboard/skateboard. There are so many freakin' people out there 'boarding. I have seriously about gotten hit 5 times. I have also seen 3 people fall off of their boards. Though, it would be awesome to know how to skateboard or longboard it is ridiculous how many times I almost get hit walking down the street. We need to have a "board/bike" lane. Fo realz. But anyway, they wear man tanks, and colored shorts. Always. Lol
Secondly,
The diva's. Now, I am a diva too, but when I say diva, I mean DI-VA. These girls look so good all the time. I was walking home from church today and I saw these girls with super long legs, beautiful hair, hi-low skirts, heels, everything matched perfectly, everything beautiful. HOW THE HECK DO YOU DO THAT. I am way to lazy to look like that everyday, as much as it pains me to say. Work it girls.
Third,
The vintage crew. High-waisted shorts, canvas shoes, lacy shirts, gaudy jewelry, old-school shades. You know. They be rockin' their natural curls, and just workin' it.
Fourth,
The athletes. I probably see people wear this most out of everyone, just the casual gym/running shorts and a t-shirt. Comfy and casual. I understand. Fifth,
The internationals. They really work it. Every one of them look so nice all the time. They work the collared shirts and the cute dresses, adding that asian piz-azz to every outfit.
So there we have it. That is what I have seen here at Ball State, and I'm not sure if I fall into any of those categories but those are the main styles I see. Do you go to college? What styles do you guys see?

Well hello there. Long time no see!
Before the post goes on let me explain a little something to you guys. We had a big storm. Powers out for awhile, maybe even until the 17th. Soooo, with no power comes no internet comes no blog comes a sad Rachael and sad So, hi readers. But I have good news! I have been surfing around houses (4 in 4 days, I feel like a gypsy.) and occasionally I get some wifi, which is obviously the case now. So I am loading up on posts tonight so...hopefully that will work out.
Anyway, now that you know what is going on I can get on to what you really want to read.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Man, I sure do love America.
I also love fashion and summer. So, put that together and we get some fun USA inspired outfits to rock while watching fireworks tomorrow for the fourth (if you aren't banned from them because of the lack of rain like I am, bummer, I know.)
Here are some idea's to work the red, white and blue fashionista's.
Want something simple and cute? Try chalking your hair red and blue. I feel like white might make you look a little old, but hey, if you want it go for it. I might just do this, maybe not so drastic as in this picture, but streaks for sure.
Flag shorts with a simple top, so cute.
Flag tank?
Rock some patriotic nails.
Not going to be outside in the hot weather? Partying inside? Try a navy striped blazer with some red accents. So cute.
Flag scarves are the bomb(.com)
You could always go crazy patriotic with the make-up too.
If all else fails you could always just wear a flag. NBD.
Keep calm and party on.
It's summer, obviously and that means that it is prime time for some good skin showin'.
One of the ways ladies are showin' skin is with the use of those lovely crop tops.
No, no, not that kind.
This kind.
Personally, I am a big fan of crop tops. I even make home-made ones! (Want to know how you can? Look here.)
But I can see where people can forget exactly what looks good and what looks...well...trashy.
Here are some tips to work that crop top, girrrrrl.
1: If you are going to wear a crop top make sure you do not see anything above your belly-button. If it goes above your belly button, it is too short (unless you are in a swim suit and are just "covering up").
2: Wear them with high wasted shorts! (They look wonderful with a nice pair of distressed shorts!)
3: You can also wear them with a high waisted skirt.
4: Have a tank top dress you want to spice up? Go ahead and put that crop top on it and BOOM, diva.
5. Please, if you have big boobs do not wear them. One, they are not as flattering on you big chested fashionistas, and two you have to leave something for us flat chested girls to work. ;)
6: If your pants are so tight that you have a little pudge hangin' over them, please, do not wear a crop top.
7: And remember, crop tops are for a care-free summer life. If you are uncomfortable showin' some skin then ad a tank! So go for it, work it, and remember, you look hot girl.
