headkandy hair extensions.

Hi guys! If you are a regular follower of this blog you know I have been eyeing a set of HeadKandy extensions. Well my lucky day has come!

I have just received these wonderful extensions and they are absolutely lovely! I cannot be more happy with them!

I received the 20-22 inch 180 gram set in butterscotch highlights.

Now, I have ombre hair so I wasn't sure how well they would blend,  but they blend perfectly!

These hair extensions are real remy hair, which means that they are the best hair on the market! I received the extensions in about 3 days, which is wonderful considering they shipped from the UK.

My favorite part of these extensions is that they come with a manual that tells you exactly how to put the extensions into your hair. Each weft is numbered and in the manual it has a photo with the numbers placed on the head. It works out so wonderfully!

I also really like the fact that there is one huge weft that is lined with mesh that wraps all the way around your head. It provides a wonderful base for the rest of the extensions.

Not only that, but HeadKandy also had extra clips just in case the clips of the extensions fall of over time, which is a great idea!

Overall these hair extensions are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone. Though the price is about $190 dollars, it is worth it if you are planning on wearing extensions quite a bit. They will last.

Here's their youtube if you are interested in more information.

Have you ever had any HeadKandy extensions? What do you think?

hair pastels.

Recently my sister and I had some fun with some art supplies out in the summer sun.

We used some color pastels from the local art store and we added some spunk to our hair!

If you guys haven't tried this out, go get yourself a $2 color pastel and try it!

It is a temporary way to add some flava to your style.

Here's what you have to do.
First, pick a SOFT color pastel in a color of your choice at the local art supply store.
Second, if you have dark hair, wet your hair first. If you are blonde, no need to!
Third, twist the section that you are wanting to color, take the pastel and rub it all over the hair.

and WA-LAH! Colorful, fun hair. :)

review: proextensions

So, get this guys.

I have been contemplating on getting hair extensions for about 6 months because I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to spend money that I could potentially grow myself. You know?

Well I recently discovered a wonderful site called ProExtensions. I saw that their extensions were relatively on the cheaper side than the other extensions I have seen. Also, I saw that their shipping was FREE and not only was it free but the extensions also got to you the NEXT DAY. How awesome is that?

So it goes without saying that I ended up getting them, right? Well I did. And I love them.

This is coming from a girl that was super iffy about them to begin with. Like, seriously. I was so afraid of them looking fake and just looking nasty.

Ohhhhh was I mistaken.

Why I love them.

These extensions are SO SOFT. So long, and have wonderful quality.

The color didn't quite match my natural color and was a little lighter than it, but it had the same red/brown tones and blended extremely well. It's like I not only got extensions, but I got highlights as well.

There are 10 clips! That is soooo much. Seriously. For 100 bucks it is such a deal. My hair was not only longer but fuller as well.

And the clips are super durable. I don't tease my hair or anything when I put them in and they hold all day!

Here are some of the details you would probably like to know.

  • I ordered the 20 inch standard chestnut brown extensions.
  • They came with 10 wefts.
    • 1 8-inch wide weft with 3 clips
    • 1 7-inch wide weft with 3 clips
    • 2 6-inch wide wefts with 3 clips
    • 6 1 1/2- inch wide wefts with 1 clip
  • They also came with two 1 1/2- inch wide wefts to test curling, coloring, straitening, and pretty much anything on. That is a plus so you don't have to hurt your extensions trying out something different.
  • The clips have polymer lining so it is super comfy on your head. It doesn't tear or hurt or anything.
  • 100% real hair
  • Overnight shipping
  • Free shipping
  • If you don't know what color you are you can order a ring of sample colors to make sure you order the correct color.

Oh! And did I forget to mention that I have a 10% off coupon code for you?
My bad.

Use this at checkout and get 10% off!

review: HANA titanium 1.5 inch flat iron.

Hey guys!

I was lucky enough to get an email from Misikko asking if I would do a review for one of their products, the HANA titanium 1.5 inch flat iron. I was ecstatic when I found out, because I use a flat iron almost everyday so I would love to try out something other than my CHI.

Misikko is a website that has everything you'll ever need for your hair, all at a discount. They have flat irons, hair dryers, curling irons, everything. And it's the good stuff.

They were so sweet to not only send me the flat iron but a bunch of other goodies as well! Take a look.

So check them out! You guys need to see the deals that they have going on. Legit. If you need a chi, a new hair dryer, or a HANA you will not be disappointed. :)

And I just thought I'd throw in this man-candy. ;)
Isn't he a cutie!? He was so excited for the snow!

ombre.

Hey guys!

Another opinion post coming at you - and the title says it all.

Ombre.

I know you have all seen the trend popping up on runways, celebs, magazine's, everywhere. The ombre trend is one that I believe will be short lived and kind of looks like you have forgotten to touch up your roots for a year or so, but somehow...I am still drawn to it and I have no idea why.

You generally see this look on longer haired girls, but the short haired girls are pulling it off too! (i.e. Alexa Chung) I have also seen people "Color Ombre" their hair and add some colored tie-dye looks to their blonde locks. It's interesting to say the least, I wish I had enough spunk to ad color to my hair.

Well, here is what some of my lovely sponsors and followers had to say about the trend. The results came out to be that most people either love it, or hate it.

"Ombre hair is tricky... When done right, it can look perfectly styled and fun. But sometimes it just looks like you missed a spot when you dyed your hair. My advice: if you want ombre hair, have it professionally done. Though there are at-home ombre hair kits, disaster quickly follows with those. Ombre hair is trendy and adorable when done right, and the only way to guarantee that is to have your hair done by a professional stylist."

"I personally think ombre hair is tacky. There has only been a couple times when it actually looked good, but most of the time it makes women look like they are in desperate need of a dye job."
- Victoria from Vi-key

"Yay!! Definitely yay! When done correctly the ombré hair can be natural and beautiful. Not just any stylist can accomplish it. You need to go to a professional who has been trained in the melting technique. So, I say go for it because it's such a fun style! :)"
- Gentri from Gentri Lee

"Nay- I'm not really a huge fan of it! I feel like it's something that is trending right now, and as soon as it's over people will be like, "Oh, why did I do that again?" Dont get me wrong, many girls have it and still look beaaaaaautiful, but it's just not my thing!"
- Ashley from The Shine Project

My personal opinion? I think ombre hair can look super hot if it is done right, like the girls said. I like when it gradually gets lighter - and isn't very blunt. I think it looks best on longer hair and just flows into a light caramel blonde. Is it for me? No. Is it for other chicks? Most definitely.

Tell me what you think, friends.

And Ashley up their is giving away one beautiful necklace - so don't forget to enter that. :)
