easy make-up tips.

Before and After.

Allllllllll right, now girls. Here is the deal. Half of us in the world just do NOT know how to apply make-up. I know, I know...you think "It CANT be me". But, sweetie, It might just be you. I am here to help in a constructive way, so when you get up in the morning to do your make-up and get ready for the day you don't end up looking like a zombie and/or alien. This is NOT an episode of X-files. So, even if you think you have no problems in the make-up area, take into account these easy tips to look your absolute hottest. :)

Face?

1. Okay STOP. Wait riggggght there. Go to Ulta and get some primer before you do anything. Both eyeshadow and face primer. Once you use this you will understand why I am making a big deal out of it. It makes your skin look smoother, healthier, and the make-up doesn't smear when you have it on. Try Urban Decay. I absolutely love it. Now...put that on before we even touch the rest of your make-up.

2. Get a foundation that actually matches your skin tone. I know it's hard. But you are NOT that tan. Just...be realistic with the color your skin is and don't expect the foundation to change it to the color you want it to be. It'll look sooooo much better if you get a color that matches your skin tone. First dot on with your finger just enough foundation to cover the imperfections. Not too much. Then apply it with a foundation brush. It looks like this. Circular motions will give you a more even application. And if you have never used a foundation brush I think that you will love this as well.

3. Under eye circles? Those pesky pimples? Gone! Concealer, baby.  Always apply this after your foundation so the foundation doesn't cover it up. Pat a little in the problem area's using your ring finger. It's the weakest finger so you won't damage the delicate skin.

4. Bronzzzzzer. Whether it is liquid or powder, apply in between the cheekbones and jaw bone and then up to your temples and forehead and on the bridge of your nose. But please not to much. We don't want to look like Snooki, now do we? I didn't think so.

5. Blush it out. I like to use a coral blush because it flatters my skin tone, but if you like another color better, go for it. I usually apply mine to the apples of my cheeks to the temple. If I am feeling like I need to be more "sophisticated" I usually apply it in between my cheek bones and jaw bones. And on the sides of my nose to make it look more defined.

6. Highlighter is your friend. It makes you look more...healthy? I don't know it just makes everything look like it comes together. I apply it at the tops of my cheekbones and my temples, forehead, and the bridge of my nose. Again, not to much.

Now on to the eyes. I am just going to give a natural look that looks good on virtually everyone. And is SUPER DUPER easy to do. Here goes.
PS: please excuse the rushingness and messy hair. :)

1. PRIME.
2. Cream colored highlighter on brow bone, oh and use an eyeshadow brush. Your eyelids will thank you.
3. Outer V, brown please. :)
4. Shimmer it out from tear duct to the start of the outer V.
5. Cat-eye anyone? Invest in wet and wild liquid eyeliner. It does wonders. Seriously. And it's like 3 bucks. (Don't take my word for that, I am not entirely sure.) Now this is an art that takes practice. But once you get it, it is great. Just "swoop" a light line across the tops of the eyes and make it flare out to make the cat eye. It works best in one "swoop". If you are feeling a little frisky, go for a double cat-eye. ;)
6. Massssscara. You know how to do this. Just don't clump it, please.

And there you go! Add a little gloss and you are the hottest chick in town. Just easy tips to make anyone look natural and beautiful. No dark eye make-up, no caked face...nothing on this list. Any other idea's? Let me know! Comment away and tell me what you think! :)

i'm too sarcastic.

Okay guys. Tell me your honest opinions on this lovely trend.

Who doesn't like spending only 24 and 1/2 seconds getting dressed? No need to fuss with putting on separate pieces of clothing when they are all connected, right? Maybe it's more economical, is the recession taking a toll on these otherwise stylish women? So many questions and so little answers. Why do people wear these things, no one in particular (TYRA) but they are just not attractive on ANYONE. But, hey, I guess some people just love looking like they are in baby sleepers. :)

Oh! And don't let me forget about the other new trend that I am absolutely in LOVE with. I mean, seeing this just makes me want to go to a hoedown and eat some straw. Yee-haw! Ugh...fashion these days...

Disclaimer: These are my thoughts, you are welcome to disagree, just please no crude comments. I would love to hear your opinions, just in a nice and respectful way. :)

Spring Trends.

Okay, in lue of the spring/summer weather we are having here is a little post about the spring trends that I am absolutely in love with. :)

And maybe some I just cannot stand.

Enjoy. :)

First off, I absolutely love the trend of Maxi dresses. But from what I have gathered from my friends and internet and fellow bloggers is that you either love a maxi dress, or hate it. I'm leaning toward love, personally. :) They look flattering on most all body types and they are just fun, flirty, and feminine. (And extreeeamly comfortable)

Another wonderful trend going on right now is bright colors. Who doesn't like to see bright, happy colors everyday? They are so fun and totally summer.

And what better to pair a bright hot pink cardigan than with some shorty shorts? They are probably my favorite thing about the summer season. Maybe it's because I am built like a stump and they are the only shorts that actually flatter me, but I love them.

Mixing prints, oh sure, I would love to pair my floral dress with a striped cardi, thank you. :) I used to hate this trend, but now I really like it. Oh how I've grown.

Neutral nudes. I think that this is just a classy look. I don't really know why I like it, but I just know that I do and I know that it looks good on everyone. :)

Sparkly shorts! I just love these. I have a feeling they will be out of style in no time, but while they are in style I might just have to wear them every single day of my life. Just kidding, but I do really like them, they are so fun and spunky! :)

SUNGLASSES -- Anyone who knows me knows that I am addicted to them. Legit. I have five hanging from my mirror in my car, one in the glove box and two or three more in my room at home. Didn't believe me when I said addicted? Yea. Curse you F21 5 dollar sunglasses. Curse you.

And last but definitly not least, hobo bags. I love the cross body messenger bag look. And when I mean love, I mean LOVE. I wish I had money so I could get this beautiful purse.

Okay, on to the not-so-cute aspect of this springs trends.

Okay, I know you guys have all seen these high-wasted shorts at H&M and Forever 21, but I just cannot make myself think they are cute. They just remind me of a grandma.

Rompers. Now, I am kind of biased on this one. Again, my body type is the reason I just don't like these. And not to mention I don't really enjoy looking like a toddler. Just my opinion though, a friend of mine has one and she happens to look really cute in them. I guess it all depends.

Bermuda shorts. I just think that I look like a troll in these things. I don't think they are feminine at all, I've never really liked these things. When I see someone wearing these things I just want to shake them and say "Make up your mind, woman, shorts or capris!".
Color Blocking is just not cute.

And another trend that I am starting to see in the wonderful world of fashion. Head thongs. It's just, an odd hair accessory.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree. If you have anything to add i would love to hear from you! :)

My 9 Fashion Pet Peeves

CAUTION: Snarky, sarcastic comments ahead.

Here is another one of my pet peeves, yes I know, I do have quite a bit (Here's my make-up one, lol). But who doesn't? Lol. Any way, I thought I would post something about what trends never looked good and never will. (In my opinion) If you guys would like to tell me what trends you could live without I would love to see those too! :)

1. First off, thongs. Well, thongs above pants. I mean, I'm sure some hormonal teenage guys don't mind getting to see a G-String peak out every once and awhile, but when it happens all the time...well...I'm sure you know what I am meaning to say. ;)

2. Shoulder Pads. Why yes, yes I would like to resemble a linebacker when I wear an otherwise feminine dress. Thank you.

3. Platform, well, anything. Self conscious about your height? Well, these babies can help you with that insecurity. But they might also contribute to a new, style-relatable, one.

4. Deep V-neck T-shirts. Well for guys anyway. Sorry, but I don't want to see your man-cleavage, no matter how defined your pecks actually are. Sorry.

5. Bling. You know the saying, "Worth you're weight in gold", well...you took that saying way too literally.

6. Crocs. I personally think that these shoes should only be worn for gardening, or in muddy, rainy weather. (At least the original ones, the newer ones they are coming out with are actually kind of cute!)

7. Velvet Track Suits. Uh, yea... about that.

8. Ed Hardy. Can you say trashy? Trashy.

  9. And lastly, those Ionic Nerd Glasses.  I mean, I'm all for unleashing your inner nerd. But, I just don't understand this trend. Like at all. Lol.

If you are offended, I apologize. If you disagree, leave me a comment as to why. If you have anything to add, I would LOVE to hear about it.

Have a great weekend! :)

My 8 Make-Up Pet Peeves

Time for a rant.

I am definitely a make-up girl, and any of you that know me already know this. I love cosmetics and anything dealing with beauty, but defiantly the make-up part of it. So, I am very picky when it comes to doing my make-up and it definitely irritates me when someone did something sloppy or wrong. So here are some of my pet peeves that I see on a daily basis that people need to fix. Here it goes...

1. Lipstick on teeth - I see this one mostly one people that are 70+, which is understandable, I'm sure they really can't see where they are putting their lipstick to begin with. But when I see younger people with it, i think "Did you look at yourself before you left?". It just looks silly, so when wearing lipstick, make sure it's on the actual LIPS. ;)

2. Caked foundation - Oh my gosh, at my high school their are so many girls that do not know how to apply foundation. lol. I mean, I was a victim of this back in Jr. High but that was because no one ever taught me how to apply my make-up. So, for those of you who walk around school looking like your face is a totally different color than your neck...BLEND. Blend down towards your collar bone so it doesn't look so, fake. lol.

3. Over bronzed - Snooki might have made it famous, but she is the only one that makes it work. Too much bronze is never a good thing, let your true color show whether you are a ivory color or an olive color, each color is beautiful in itself. Don't overly bronze...please.

4. Two-tone eyeshadow - Okay, this is probably one of the eyeshadow looks that get done wrong ALL of the time. I'm all for different colors at once, but the thing I really hate is when girls have half of their lid one color and the other half another. No blending or anything. News flash, your eye looks like an Indonesian flag.

5. Mascara on eyelid - When this happens to me I make sure to take off my eyeshadow and start over because it just looks tacky with mascara marks all over your eyelid. Yes it is a hassle, but it has to be done. lol.

6. Too much mascara - You all have seen that girl with 1cm lashes. Big clumps of black. Spidery, nastiness. Not a good look.

7. Too much eyeliner - I went through a phase back in Jr. High where I though eyeliner made me look older and attracted the boys. I was so wrong. It's never good to look like a raccoon. And it definitely does not make you look older. I can't believe I actually thought it did. Let your eyes be seen, don't cover them with an inch of black eyeliner.

8. Too much highlighter - I personally love highlighter, but too much is not good. You just look like a shiny faced manican. Make sure to just use it on your temples, cheek bones, forehead and bridge of your nose.
