life lately.

Hi guys.

If you are regulars on this blog you would see that I have not been posting as much as I used to. One of the reasons why I haven't is because I am about to graduate from high school and I have been bombarded with finishing up high school and getting ready for college.

I would say I'm in a pretty big transition in my life so I needed to focus on that than on this blog.

Sorry, but real life gets in the way sometimes. Lol

BUT - I will be trying to post more regularly and showing you guys what is happening in my life, because, well, I consider you guys my friends and I'd like to have my friends know whats going on. (I'm talking to my readers who are not creepy, you creepers out there can just stop looking at this blog.)

So lets get caught up, shall we?

Lately I have been really trying to spend time with those I go to school with. We are all going our seperate ways and I want to make sure I spend as much time with them as possible.

I've also been spending some time with my friend, Erika.

And going on some dates.

Enjoying the lake.

Our softball girls ended up winning state this year, so that was cool.

I have been doing various different pageant things. (Remember, I was in that pageant about 3 months ago?)

I also had my grad party. That was a fun time.

I also just got back from my orientation for school so that was pretty fun too. AND I am graduating this Saturday so I'll make sure to bring more pictures then too!

How has your life been?

high school clothing.

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I have had writers block...so that generally causes problems. But it's all good! I'm back and I have a brand new post! (Duh.)

Anyway, it is August. Yes, I said it, August. That means that summer is almost over (depressing, I know) and school is about to start. I know that quite a few of my followers are still in school and even if you aren't this post will work for all those young-hearted spunky folk.

I don't know if you are like me, but I generally go shopping before school starts to get some updated clothes and shoes and anything else I need. But this year I decided to post what looks are going to be great for this school year and what won't be quite as cute.

What to wear:

COLOR - Especially at the beginning of school. We are young and we have to show it off. Color is a BIG way of showing off how youthful we are.

Comfy-Casual - I LOVE this look. I love baggy sweaters and T's. I think that they are so comfy, look good on everyone and are still chic. Totally my co-to outfit.

Canvas Flats - Keds, Toms, Bobs, Rocket Dog, ect. Comfy and cute.

Summery Dresses - Fun and so cute. I love floral print and colors and just the frilliness of summer dresses.

Big Belts - This is a great way to look thinner and add some curves. Put a big brown belt around that summer dress and you are made.

Skirts - I'm going to try to wear more skirts this year, I think that they are so cute. I'm not talking a jean skirt though, I'm talking about cute, fun, colorful skirts.

Cardi's - Self-Explanatory. They go with anything and everything.

Plain T's - I have a TON of plan t-shirts. They can be used to make so many different looks and they are just classic and look good on virtually everyone.

What not to wear:

Anything strapless (i.e. tube tops) - It's cute, but for school a little risque. It's probably against the dress code too.

Mini Skirts - No, sorry, I do not want to see your booty when we are going up the stairs.

Baggy Sweats - I really think that this is only acceptable if you are sick, lazy, or a gangsta rappa.

Super Tight Graphic T's - I see girls walking around with these tee's that say "I'm a Belieber", which I totally understand your infatuation with the Beibs but I don't really see the point in flaunting it when you aren't at one of his concerts.

Super-Duper Short Shorts - Oh my gosh, againnn with the booty. I mean, I love some short shorts, but I'm talking short shorts to the extreme. Believe me, people actually wear shorts with a .5 inch inseam at my school. Not pretty.

Now, this is all my opinion. I understand that not everyone has the same style, I'm just letting you know what I would wear and would advise wearing, feel free to disagree. I'd love to know what you all think. :)

long time, no see. :)

So, I just read my whole list of 'blogs'. And what was going through my head was, wow. I was SO immature. Ha, in the first post I was like...period crazy. I'm sure I will end up reading this in a couple of years too and say that I was so immature. But, whatever. It happens. :)

Anyway, as you can see, I have been slacking. But I doubt that really matters because no one ever reads this. I haven't quite decided if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Lol. There are a few people that I know have 'Blogger' but, I am not sure if I want to add them as friends or not. I mean, I know that no one is interested in my life anyway. So, this blog is pretty much just for me.

Let me catch myself up. I just finished my sophomore year. I guess you can say it was a good year. Or adequate(?). Well, nothing that interesting happened. I'll try to go through it as simply as I can.
-Soccer was good, didn't have a great record but...it was super fun. :)
-Drew, my man, got the first touchdown (and not to mention the second)of the year. So that was exciting. I remember that night just like it was yesterday too, he was so happy.
-Uh, I didn't do ANYTHING during the winter.
-My cousin (16) got pregnant. She just had her baby yesterday, she is really cute. I hope everything works out for them though. It'll be hard. They are always in my prayers.
-There was a 'drug bust' at our school. If that's what you call it. Like 8 people got in trouble. People made such a big deal of it. I mean, I guess that's what happens in a small town. I thought it was kind of funny, even though some of the people who got caught were my friend. Oh well, you get what you deserve.
-I went to prom, again.
-My boyfriend graduated. It is bittersweet I guess. I'll miss looking forward to seeing him at school. But, he is enjoying the freedom.
-Uhm, I can't really think of anything else. HA, talk about boring.

Okay, now we are in the present. It is summer and so far all summer I have been hangin' out with my best friend. And on the weekends with Drew. He has school in the summer. So, I don't get to see him as often. But I think it is making our relationship stronger.
Speaking of Drew-- He was the guy in one of the first few posts that I talked about. We have been together for about two years now. He's a great guy and I truly believe we will last... I mean, I know it will be hard and... I know I am still young and I still need to mature and everything. But, I can't see myself with any other guy. I hope it does. He is perfect for me in every way. Okay, okay. I'm not going to get all mushy. Haha. I will go on.
So far my adventures with Erika have been pretty different. From catching catfish to spontaneous trips to Columbus. I love this girl. Ha. Well, other than that nothing that interesting has happened. I am hoping I can remember to do this thing....okay. Well, 'till next time! (:
